Hartselle man dies in Dallas County crash
A Hartselle man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said the incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Alabama 5 near the 39 mile marker in Dallas County.
Irving Wilbert, 74, was killed when the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet 5500 service truck, driven by James R. Gulledge Jr., 48, of Helena.
Wilbert was pronounced dead at the scene. Gulledge was injured and transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
