Hartselle man arrested for connection to 2021 stabbing death
Hartselle police have arrested a second man in connection with a 2021 stabbing death.
Rathel Amos Lindley, 43, of Hartselle was arrested today and charged with murder.
He is being held on $250,000 bond.
Hartselle police said the arrest came after further investigation into the Nov. 17, 2021 fatal stabbing of Charles Cameron Hill.
Police at that time arrested Billy Joe Lindley, 49. Police said Billy Joe Lindley stabbed Hill shortly after he got into an argument with Lindley’s brother. Hill ran to a nearby gymnastics building and tried to enter seeking refuge.
A witness who saw Hill try to get into the building called police. Hill died outside of the building.
According to police, evidence was presented to a grand jury and Rathel Lindley was indicted and arrested shortly after the warrant was issued.
