Hartselle police have arrested a man for strangling a woman last week.

According to police, the incident happened Friday on Gemini Circle.

Officers were dispatched to a home following a reported disturbance. A woman at the address suffered injuries indicative of being strangled, police said.

Brian Keith Mahaley, 56, of Hartselle, was charged with second degree domestic violence (strangulation).

Mahaley was transported to the Morgan County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.
