A shooting in north Birmingham left one person seriously injured.

The shots rang out at 7:23 p.m. Thursday in the front yard of a home in the 3400 block of 31st Avenue North.

Additional details surrounding the gunfire were not immediately available.

Police said the victim, an adult male, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made.
