Halloween forecast: Spooky but not soggy tonight
Tonight is go time for trick or treaters, so will the weather cooperate in Alabama?
Good news: Most of Alabama is expected to be dry tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain chances on Monday will be low to zero, according to the forecast, though low clouds could hang around for a while.
Here’s the precipitation forecast for the 12 hours ending at 7 p.m. Monday:
It will also be on the warm side for candy canvassing. Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s across the state around 7 p.m. “Perfect” for collecting candy, the weather service in Mobile said.
The weather service in Huntsville agreed, saying: “Will be ideal weather for trick-or-treating tonight, with skies clearing and temperatures in the 60s,” across north Alabama.
There could be a spooky element added in. The weather service said some fog will be possible later tonight for parts of the state.
“For tonight, we will continue to see some spooky clouds around early, but with some clearing,” the weather service in Birmingham said in its morning forecast discussion. “This will help with the next round of menacing fog to develop and creep into the area.”
