Gunman, victim identified in apparent murder-suicide in Robertsdale

The two men whose bodies were found Saturday in what Robertsdale police are investigating as a murder-suicide have been identified.

Baldwin County Coroner Brian Pierce said 64-year-old Edward Michael Thomas died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The other man, 35-year-old Christopher Sean Robertson, died of a gunshot wound.

Robertsdale police responded to the 1800 block of Brewton Street Saturday night on a report of shots fired. Arriving at the scene, officers found the two men dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said the crime scene, coupled with witness statements, were consistent with a murder-suicide, which Pierce’s findings support. Both men lived in the home, according to investigators.
