South Carolina-based Beach Company’s development along Governors Drive near Stovehouse is nearing completion.

The Range office building has landed its anchor tenant. And the Foundry, a 342-unit residential community, is expected to be finished by the first of June, according to JC Darby, development manager at The Beach Company.

The anchor tenant for the already completed Range is Merit Bank, which Darby called “great for The Range and the whole campus and community as a whole.”

“The whole project is coming along nicely,” he said. “We have delivered on six of our eight residential buildings. We have 27 leases to date. The Foundry is leasing up nicely.”

Darby said the Beach Company has received great interest in the retail portion of the development.

“We are exchanging letters of intent with a couple of restaurant groups,” he said. That part of the project is picking up.”
