Grand River Motorsports’ new 40-acre tract for camping and rec access
Belle Fountain Land Company paid $600,000 for 40 acres at the corner of Baldwin County 87 and Styx River in Robertsdale, according to Randy Dodd of Ryals Realty, who handled the transaction. Grand River Motorsports Park will lease the land that features almost 3,000 feet of frontage on Cowpen Creek and Styx River. Grand River Motorsports currently operates on 2,000 acres off Baldwin County 87 along Interstate 10 and will use this 40 acres for additional camping and recreational access to the creek and river. The site will also serve as the launchpad for Grand River Tubing and Kayaking, which opens later this summer. Grand River Motorsports is an off-road park with more than 100 miles of trails for vehicles including trucks, jeeps, dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs and golf carts, as well as river frontage.

* Hotel Rain is the new name for the planned Aqua Suites on Gulf Shores Parkway in Gulf Shores. The three-story, 49-unit Hotel Rain will be developed by Wealth Hospitality in the former Kaiser building at 1557 Gulf Shores Parkway. AnderCorp, based in Gulfport, Mississippi, was named construction manager for the new boutique hotel, which will feature a courtyard pool with a swim-up bar and cabanas, cocktail lounge, spa and fitness room.
