Girl Scout Cookies are more expensive than ever. Here’s how much you could pay for a box

You might have to shell out some more money for Girl Scout Cookies this year.

For the 2024 season, many boxes of Girl Scout cookies will cost $6 a piece—increasing from last year’s $5 price tag, according to Allrecipes.

Each Girl Scout Council has the power to set its own prices, and a Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) spokesperson says that many councils have “made the tough decision to shift prices.” The increase marks the first major price hike for some councils since 2015, when boxes went from $4 to $5.

On the Girl Scouts website, the national organization gives the reason for the increase, saying prices reflect the current cost of cookies and the cost of providing high-quality Girl Scout programming and experiences in an ever-changing economic environment.

Earlier this year, Girl Scouts announced it was discontinuing its Rasberry Rally cookie after its debut sparked a frenzy and resellers posted boxes online for up to six times the $5 price tag. Rallies were the first Girl Scout cookies ever sold exclusively online.
