Georgia’s Carson Beck expected to hit transfer portal, return to college

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is entering the transfer portal, both On3 and ESPN are reporting.

The two-time national champion, who had announced his plans to enter the NFL draft, will now look for a new college team to play for.

Beck injured his UCL in the SEC Championship Game and has not played in the College Football Playoff.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Georgia finished the season 11-3, winning the SEC title.

Beck was injured when his right arm bent back awkwardly as he was being sacked on the final play of the first half of the Bulldogs’ 22-19 win over Texas in Atlanta.

Beck, who started every game for Georgia the last two seasons, passed for 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns in 13 games in 2024. His season has been one of highs and lows in which he threw three interceptions in three separate games this season.
