A Georgia woman was killed in an early-morning crash in Macon County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Carey B. Chambers. She was 45.

The wreck happened at 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 85, about two miles north of Franklin.

Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said Chambers was driving a Nissan Juke that left the road, struck a ditch, hit several trees, and then overturned.

She was taken to Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the circumstances surround the crash remain under investigation.
