A Georgia man was killed Tuesday in a fiery east Alabama crash.

Alabama State Troopers on Wednesday identified the fatality victim as Kester Bruton. He was 70 and lived in Pooler, Ga.

The wreck happened at 2:20 p.m. on Interstate 59, about five miles north of Attalla in Etowah County.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said Bruton was driving a Volvo tractor trailer that left the interstate, struck a tree and caught fire.

Bruton was pronounced dead on the scene.
