Georgia quarterback to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Georgia quarterback Brock Vandagriff is set to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to DawgsHQ.com.
Vandagriff, a former five-star prospect who was the No. 22 overall recruit and No. 4 QB in the 2021 cycle, will have two years remaining of eligibility. SI reports that Vandagriff, who is Carson Beck’s backup, will leave Georgia with a degree, and, therefore, be eligible as a graduate transfer.
Vandagriff appeared in two games as a freshman, then three games during Georgia’s undefeated 2022 season. He has completed 12 of 18 passes for 165 yards and two scores while carrying the ball five times for 39 yards.
Georgia is coming off a 27-24 defeat at the hands of Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. The loss snapped a 29-game winning streak for the two-time defending champion. The loss knocked the Bulldogs out of the College Football Playoff.
No. 6 Georgia (12-1 will play No. 5 Florida State (13-0) will play on Dec. 30 in the Orange Bowl, after both programs felt like they deserved a chance to play for the national title.
