Georgia mascot Uga X dead at 10, remembered for run-in with Bevo
Former Georgia mascot UGA X, also known as Que, died Tuesday, the University of Georgia announced.
He was 10.
“Things will be a little different around the house for a while,” Charles Seiler said, per DawgNation. “Que traditionally starts barking for his breakfast around 5:30 a.m. This morning, Boom waited until 6 a.m. to let us know he was ready for his breakfast, so he’ll be a little later each day.”
He was with the Bulldogs as they won back-to-back College Football Playoff national titles from 2021-22, capping undefeated regular seasons.
He is best remembered for his run-in with Bevo, the Texas live steer mascot at the 2019 Sugar Bowl.
Que officially became Uca X on Nov. 21, 2015, in what turned out to be Mark Richt’s final home game at Georgia. The Bulldogs went 84-15 in the time Que was the mascot.
Uga X is succeeded by Uga XI, known as Boom, who took the mantle ahead of the 2023 season.
