Georgia man convicted of capital murder in Satsuma murder-for-hire scheme

A Mobile jury has found a Georgia man guilty of paying two others $2,000 to kill a Satsuma man in December 2020.

Jason Christopher Hill, 47, was found guilty of capital murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday afternoon.

“We are thankful the jury carefully listened to the evidence that was presented this week,” said district attorney Keith Blackwood, “and at the end of 45 minutes of deliberations found the defendant guilty.”

According to Satsuma police, 49-year-old Brent Allen was shot six times outside his home on Bayou Avenue East on Dec. 6, 2020, and later died at University Hospital.

Initially, two other Georgia residents — Wayne Alex Beasley and Jennifer Hudson — were arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with Allen’s murder. According to court records, the two drove from Crisp County, Ga., to Mobile County with Hudson’s two children in the vehicle to murder Allen, although investigators said Hudson and her children were not at the scene when Allen was shot.

Allen was still conscious when first responders arrived at his home and was able to give investigators a description of the suspect and the vehicle before being taken to the hospital.

Court testimony revealed the two were paid $2,000 to kill Allen and used a burner phone, with Hudson posing as a 20-year-old woman, to set up a meeting at Allen’s home.

Ultimately, investigators tabbed Hill as the mastermind behind the murder-for-hire plot. He was arrested in Guyton, Ga., in January 2022.
