Georgia-Auburn kickoff time, broadcast information announced

On paper, Georgia’s visit to The Plains might be Auburn’s toughest test of the season.

And that test will be taken on Sept. 30 and kick off at 2:30 p.m., the SEC announced Monday afternoon. The game will air on CBS.

Fortunately for first-year head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers, they won’t be taking on Kirby Smart and the two-time defending national champion Bulldogs alone.

Georgia’s visit to Auburn was announced as a sold-out contest on July 5, when Auburn also announced it had sold out of season tickets, selling a program record of 63,500 season tickets.

The Tigers and Bulldogs first met way back in 1892 and have played 118 game since. Georgia is 63-56 against Auburn and has won the last six meetings. The Tigers are 1-9 against the Bulldogs in the last 10 meetings.

Auburn will have an opportunity to snap its six-game losing streak on Sept. 30 at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where Georgia holds an 18-12-2 record.
