A gas leak at an Enterprise residence led the local fire department to discover a dead body Friday evening.

The Enterprise Police Department responded at about 6 p.m. to the call in the 300 Block of Daleville Avenue after the body of Russell Stuckey, 42, of Enterprise was discovered by firefighters.

EPD detectives later learned that the victim had at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

Detectives are actively investigating the homicide and have developed a person of interest.

No other information on the case was released.
