Gardendale man killed after debris hits truck on I-65 near Warrior, authorities say
A Gardendale man died Monday morning after a piece of debris struck the truck he was driving on I-65 in Jefferson County, authorities said Monday evening.
Jason H. Fields, 51, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco on the interstate when the debris hit the truck around 10:50 a.m. Monday, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Vu Quang.
Fields was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck at the 281 mile marker, about one mile south of Warrior, said Quang.
