A morning school bus wreck in northern Jefferson County left a teacher and multiple students injured.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Decatur Highway and Moncrief Road in Gardendale.
Police Chief Scott Banks said the bus was transporting students from Fultondale High Schools when it was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle.
The impact caused the bus to leave the road. It came to a stop in a ditch.
Banks said multiple students and a teacher sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were also taken for medical treatment.
