Freezing temperatures returning to Alabama: How cold will it get?
It will get cold enough tomorrow night to cause concerns about freezing temperatures in north Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a freeze watch for all of north Alabama that will go into effect late Tuesday night and last until Wednesday morning.
The weather service said overnight lows could dip between 28 and 32 degrees, and widespread frost will be possible.
The north Alabama counties in the freeze watch are Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman.
Overnight lows tonight will be a lot colder than recent nights, but they will really dip on Tuesday night.
Tonight temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s in north Alabama. Central Alabama lows will be in the low 40s as well. South Alabama will have lows in the low to mid-40s.
