Fox News names Jesse Watters to succeed Tucker Carlson
Jesse Watters has been named by Fox as the replacement for Tucker Carlson.
In a released statement, Fox News announced changes for the network’s prime-time lineup in addition to Watters taking over the 7 p.m. 8 p.m. ET) slot: Laura Ingraham’s show will kick off evenings at 6 p.m. (7 p.m. ET), Sean Hannity will remain in the 8 p.m. (9 p.m. ET) slot and Greg Gutfeld’s late-night broadcast will move to 9 p.m. (10 p.m. ET).
“Fox News Channel has been America’s destination for news and analysis for more than 21 years and we are thrilled to debut a new lineup,” network CEO Suzanne Scott said in the release.
Watters is currently the host of “Jesse Watters Primetime,” which airs at 6 p.m. and has garnered an average of 2.6 million viewers since the start of the year, according to the network. He is also a regular panelist on “The Five,” one of the network’s most popular programs.
Carlson and Fox News Media agreed to part ways in April with his final appearance on April 21.
