Fox News $787.5 million lawsuit settlement: ‘Our viewers don’t want the truth’

Fox News paid $787.5 million to Dominion so their liars don’t have to testify in court over a lawsuit that called them out on their 2020 election lies. Looking at you, Rupert Murdoch, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson.

From the AP story: Fox and Dominion Voting Systems reached a settlement Tuesday in the voting machine company’s defamation lawsuit, averting a trial in a case that exposed how the top-rated network chased viewers by promoting lies about the 2020 presidential election.

An attorney for Dominion said the settlement was for $787.5 million.

“The truth matters. Lies have consequences,” said Dominion lawyer Justin Nelson in a news conference outside the courthouse after the announcement.
