Four arrested in prostitution sting at Mobile hotel
Four people have been arrested and are facing multiple charges after a prostitution sting at a Mobile hotel, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
The sting was a joint venture between the MCSO, it’s Narcotics and Vice units, and the Department of Homeland Security — set up in an effort to locate victims of sex trafficking.
Those arrested at the scene were charged with various offenses including possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), third-degree promoting prostitution and attempting to elude law enforcement.
As of Thursday afternoon, two of those arrested were still being held at Mobile County Metro Jail while two others had been released on bond.
MCSO officials declined to name the hotel where the sting took place.
