Former WWE, Impact Wrestling star Kimber Lee announces retirement
Former WWE wrestler Kimber Lee says she has retired from in-ring competition.
The 32-year-old made the announcement in a long statement posted to her Twitter page.
“The goodbye that I thought would never come,” she wrote. “The mistress has overtaken my life for the pat 15 years. At times, wrestling we the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I have been to places and I have gotten to see things that I never would have dreamed of in my lifetime.”
That is when she changed gears and said that there “comes a point in everyone’s life where things just cannot continue in the same fashion that they have, because circumstances and goals evolve and change.”
“I know that is coming completely from left field for some of you, and that is understandable as I have been rallying as if a comeback is on the way,” he continued. “But that is not the case.”
She said she has been “deeply working” on herself across the past year and “coming to terms with some very harsh realities, and learning a lot about myself and who I am in the process.”
“The more I think about it, the more I come to realize that my heart is not in this anymore,” she added. “Kimber Lee brings me instant heartache and anxiety, not the butterflies and joy that one was. There are too many painful words that come with going back into this world, and I am not willing to give these wounds my power or dominion over my life anymore.”
With that she said that “Kimber Lee” was stepping away from the squared circle and that “Kimberly Frankele is going out in the world, ready to become something amazing.”
She broke into professional wrestling in 2011, and worked for the WWE from 2016-to-2018 on its NXT brand. She was released by the company in March of 2018. She also worked from Impact Wrestling from 2020-until-2022.
