Former Miami (OH) cornerback Raion Strader signs with Auburn football
Auburn’s latest transfer portal move was a big one in the secondary, signing former Miami (OH) corner Raion Strader.
Strader comes to Auburn after spending two seasons with the Redhawks, becoming one of the best defensive backs in the Mid-American Conference. He earned first team All-MAC honors in 2024 after being named a freshman All-American in 2023.
During his two seasons in Oxford, Strader made 110 tackles, 29 pass deflections and three interceptions. He also finished 2024 with a 74.4 coverage grade, according to Pro Football Focus.
At Auburn, he’ll join an already productive secondary that returns starting corners Kayin Lee and Jay Crawford. Strader is currently set to be Auburn’s fourth newcomer at corner, joining freshmen Donovan Starr, Blake Woodby and Devin Williams.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
