Former Memphis safety shared defensive plays with UTSA QB ahead of game
It has been alleged former Memphis safety Tahj Ra-El sent defensive plays to UTSA ahead of the teams’ 44-36 loss to the Roadrunners in November.
Now, TigerSportsReport is reporting alleged direct messages between Ra-El and UTSA quarterback Owen McCown have been obtained.
Initially, Ra-El, it was reported, had left the team in October, but TigerSportsReport, citing sources, reports he was dismissed from the team. It is suggested that was motive for the sharing of information.
“We’re on the field, and their offense has a check for every single one of our defenses’ checks,” a former Memphis player told TigerSportsReport.
