Former Heisman Trophy winner on Alabama’s Ryan Williams: ‘The future of the NFL’

Ryan Williams, who will grace the cover of the 2026 edition of the EA Sports College Football, got quite the compliment during the photo shoot for the popular game.

The Alabama receiver, who caught 48 passes for 865 yards and 8 touchdowns last season as a freshman, was over the moon for the opportunity to make the game’s cover.

“Having the opportunity to be on the cover of ‘College Football ‘26′ is, to say the least, surreal,” Williams said in a video of the photo shoot posted by the University of Alabama on social media. “It’s a blessing.”

The day ended after a visit with USC Heisman Trophy winner and running back Reggie Bush.

“The future of college football,” the former NFL star said. “The future of the NFL. ”I’m rocking with the new wave.”

That’s quite a compliment from one of the sport’s most electric players to another.

Bush, who played 11 years in the NFL, scored 38 touchdowns over 39 games, including two national titles, for the Trojans.

Williams, meanwhile, has had his share of jaw-dropping moments on the field, but his time during the EA Sports shoot is now among memorable moments off the field.

“I could say it’s a dream come true, but that’s too generic,” Williams said.
