Former Auburn tight end Tyler Fromm announces transfer to Georgia Southern
After announcing his intentions to transfer on Dec. 6, former Auburn tight end Tyler Fromm has nailed down his next destination.
After five seasons on The Plains, Fromm will be taking his talents to Georgia Southern for his final year of eligibility, he announced via a post to his Instagram on Wednesday afternoon.
“Bringing it home,” Fromm wrote as a caption.
Fromm arrived to Auburn by way of Warner Robbins, Ga. in 2019 and redshirted that first year, followed by appearing in one game in 2020. Fromm then went on to appear in all 37 games over the next three seasons with the Tigers.
During his time at Auburn, Fromm hauled in 14 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown.
Fromm’s lone touchdown came in 2021 against LSU, when he was on the receiving end of an impressive pass from former quarterback Bo Nix, who connected with Fromm after escaping a handful of sacks.
With Wednesday’s announcement, Fromm, who is the younger brother of former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, is set to join a Georgia Southern team that went 6-6 in 2023.
