Former Auburn quarterback transfers to Texas State
The three 2024 Auburn quarterbacks who entered the transfer portal have now all found new homes.
That became the case Tuesday when Holden Geriner told On3 that he is transferring to Texas State.
Geriner spent three seasons at Auburn, but never started. He completed nine of 20 passes during his Auburn career, throwing for 116 yards and an interception. He made two appearances during the 2024 season, seeing late action against Alabama A&M and New Mexico.
It’s not the first time an Auburn quarterback has transferred to Texas State, with TJ Finley making the move following the 2022 season. In his lone season at Texas State, Finley threw for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns, both career highs.
Auburn filled its void at quarterback, adding Jackson Arnold and Ashton Daniels from the transfer portal, and signing five-star freshman Deuce Knight. The Tigers also recently added Tanner Bailey to the room, a former South Carolina signal caller who previously retired from football.
