Former Auburn linebacker Kameron Brown will finish his career at the FCS level.

Brown, who earlier this spring announced his plans to transfer from Auburn for his final season, committed to UT-Chattanooga late Wednesday night, he announced on Twitter. Brown will have one year of eligibility with the Mocs, who are coming off a 7-4 season and third-place finish in the SoCon.

Brown is a fifth-year senior who plans to finish his MBA at Chattanooga. Originally a member of Auburn’s 2019 signing class, Brown was a career reserve at Auburn, appearing in just two games during his four seasons on the Plains.

Brown redshirted as a true freshman in 2019 before making his first career appearance in 2020 against Arkansas. He only saw the field one other time during his time with the Tigers and did not record a stat.

While his playing time was limited during his career, he started out his career with an opportunity to be on the same team as his older brother, former Auburn All-America defensive tackle Derrick Brown. During their lone season together with the Tigers, Auburn went 9-4 and finished 14th in the postseason AP poll.

Kameron Brown was one of two linebackers to depart the program this spring, with reserve Desmond Tisdol also opting to transfer from a position group that returned Cam Riley, Wesley Steiner, Robert Woodyard Jr. and Eugene Asante while adding a pair of SEC transfers in former Ole Miss linebacker Austin Keys and former LSU linebacker DeMario Tolan.
