Former Auburn football WR signs with Georgia Southern in transfer portal
One of the two Auburn wide receivers who entered the transfer portal found a new home Tuesday, as Camden Brown signed with Georgia Southern.
Brown, a native of Monroe, Louisiana, spent three seasons at Auburn, catching 26 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns over the course of his career on the plains. He caught seven passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in 2024.
He announced his plans to enter the portal on Dec. 3, becoming the first Auburn wide receiver to do so. Caleb Burton III became the second, joining Brown four days later.
Brown’s best season at Auburn came during his freshman year in 2022, catching nine passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. He saw some playing time early in the 2024 season but found himself buried in the depth chart behind the likes of KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Cam Coleman, Malcolm Simmons, Robert Lewis and others.
He now joins Gage Keys, Micah Riley and Hank Brown as the fourth Auburn player to find a new home in the transfer portal this cycle.
