Former Auburn DL Justin Rogers drafted by Cowboys with 244th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft

Justin Rogers became the fourth former Auburn player to hear his name come off the board Saturday as the Dallas Cowboys selected the defensive lineman with the 244th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Rogers was a one-and-done at Auburn after transferring in from Kentucky ahead of the 2023 season.

When Rogers first arrived to The Plains, he primarily served as a backup before working his way into the main rotation alongside Marcus Harris, who also heard his name called Saturday evening.

Rogers finished his time at Auburn having tallied 17 tackles — two for loss — and a sack in his lone season with the Tigers.

At the conclusion of the 2023 season, Rogers went on to compete in the East-West Shrine Bowl, followed by accepting his invite to the NFL Scouting Combine.

With both Rogers and Harris heading to the professional ranks, the Tigers have worked hard to find defensive linemen to replace their production. The Tigers have done so via the transfer portal and the high school ranks.

Auburn has brought in a pair of blue-chip defensive line recruits in TJ Lindsey and Malik Blocton, while also adding four transfer defensive linemen in Texas transfer Trill Carter, Kansas transfer Gage Keys, Indiana transfer Philip Blidi and USC transfer Isaiah Raikes.
