Former Alabama player still in hospital after significant car crash

Former Alabama men’s basketball guard Davin Cosby was recently involved in a serious car crash and remains in the hospital as of July 22, a Kennesaw State spokesperson shared with AL.com on behalf of Cosby’s family.

Cosby underwent multiple surgeries. According to a GoFundMe set up on his behalf, he was involved in the accident on July 13.

“Davin now faces a long and challenging road as he works toward returning to full strength and mobility,” the GoFundMe reads.

Cosby spent the 2023-24 season with the Crimson Tide. Then he transferred to Wake Forest for the 2024-25 season. He was set to play for Kennesaw State and former Alabama assistant Antoine Pettway this season.

Cosby is heading into his junior season. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound guard is from Richmond, Virginia. Cosby played in 22 games for Alabama before playing in 17 games for Wake Forest with nine starts overall.
