Ford has recalled over 273,000 SUVs due to an issue with leaking brake lines.

The automaker is recalling certain 2022-2024 Navigator and Expedition. The front brake lines may contact the engine air cleaner outlet pipe and become damaged, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak and reduced brake function, according to an alert from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall includes 273,789 vehicles.

What should you do if you own one of these vehicles?

Notification letters are expected to be mailed by the end of May to people who own the vehicles.

Ford says dealers will inspect the front brake line and replace those parts or air cleaner outlet pipe, as necessary, free of charge.

Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 25S47.
