Ford F-150 hit by train at railroad crossing in Talladega County; 20-year-old woman killed
A Louisiana woman was killed when her vehicle was hit by at train at a railroad crossing in Talladega County.
Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Breana N. Fontenot. She was 20 and lived in Denham Springs.
The wreck happened at 4:40 p.m. Sunday at Talladega County 207 and the CSX crossing. That location is about five miles west of Talladega.
Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Fontenot was a passenger in a Ford F-150 that was hit by the train. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the pickup, 26-year-old Grant D. Conner of Bay Springs, Miss., was injured and taken to Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega.
The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
