Football High Live: Updates, scores from Friday’s HS Week 6 games
Week 6 in the Alabama high school football season is a non-region week, but it presents some really good matchups across the state.
They include Oxford at Hartselle, Mars Hill at Russellville, Dothan at Baker, Opelika at Theodore and Auburn at Ramsay.

There are also some big rivalry games including the Battle of the Catholic schools, Class 6A McGill-Toolen against Class 4A St. Michael, and the annual Battle of I-10, Spanish Fort at Daphne.
The week got off to a big start already on Thursday with Class 6A No. 2 Clay-Chalkville beating Class 7A No. 1 Thompson in a game televised by ESPN2. Check back frequently tonight for scores, updates and highlights from around the state.
6:03 PM, News dump: The AHSAA announced late Friday that Coosa Christian will forfeit all four of its victories this season for a violation of the transfer rule. The Conquerors, ranked No. 6 in the latest Class 1A poll, will drop to 0-5. They don’t play tonight.
