Football High Live: Scores, updates from Friday’s Week 11 games

Rolling into the final night of the regular season with a lot of questions still up in the air as far as next week’s playoffs are concerned.

Tonight’s intriguing matchups across the state include Theodore at St. Paul’s, B.C. Rain at Gulf Shores, Madison Academy at Westminster Christian, Hartselle at Bob Jones and Guntersville at Albertville.

Also, Rush Propst tries to finish his first season at Pell City with a win over Springville. Check back throughout the evening for updated scores and highlights.

7 PM, Ready to go in Gulf Shores: Mark Hudspeth’s Dolphins have been under the AHSAA microscope this week, but they are set to go tonight against a talented B.C. Rain team.

6:53 PM, Mask returns to St. Paul’s: Hall of Fame coach Steve Mask spent 13 years at St. Paul’s, winning four state championships in 10 years as the head coach. He returns to E.E. Delaney Stadium for the first time tonight as a visitor with his Theodore Bobcats. Winner is the No. 3 seed from Class 6A, Region 1. Loser is the 4 and travels to undefeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.

6:46 PM, Class 7A, Region 2 scenario: No. 1 Central-Phenix City has clinched the top spot from Region 2 in next week’s playoffs. We also know Enterprise, Auburn and Dothan are the other playoff teams. What we don’t know is the order of those teams. We should by the end of the night. Enterprise hosting Percy Julian (formerly Robert E. Lee) tonight.

6:38 PM, Tiger vs. Tiger: Auburn commit Malik Blocton and Pike Road taking on fellow Auburn commit Joe Phillips and B.T. Washington tonight.

6 PM, The latest on Gulf Shores: Gulf Shores officials still await an ruling from the AHSAA on an investigation into accusations against the football team by another school. However, Gulf Shores City Schools attorney Nash Campbell told AL.com on Friday that at least one athlete had been cleared by the AHSAA to play in tonight’s game against B.C. Rain.

3 PM, Congratulations in order: St. Michael coach and longtime NFL QB Philip Rivers and wife Tiffany welcomed their 10th child on Monday. Andrew Rivers was born on Monday. Mom, son and dad are all doing well. St. Michael is off this week before competing in the playoffs for the first time next week. Read about the Rivers’ new addition.
