Football High Live: Highlights from Friday’s semifinal action
Tonight’s the night.
The final 12 teams in Classes 1A-6A will be trimmed to six. Those six will join Class 7A finalists Thompson and Central-Phenix City for next week’s Super 7 in Tuscaloosa.
All six teams that finished No. 1 in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association polls at the end of the regular season are still alive tonight. They are Saraland (6A), Gulf Shores (5A), Montgomery Catholic (4A), Mobile Christian (3A), B.B. Comer (2A) and Leroy (1A).

The Class 1A South semifinal features the top-ranked Bears hosting undefeated and No. 2-ranked Elba, while the 2A South semifinal has No. 1 B.B. Comer against No. 3 Reeltown. Check back throughout the night for highlights from all 12 games.
