3 Of the four players averaging the most receiving yards per game in the nation this season are SEC wide receivers, including South Carolina’s Xavier Legette. Missouri’s Luther Burden III has 54 receptions for 793 yards and five TDs for a 132.2 yards-per-game average, LSU’s Malik Nabers has 46 receptions for 771 yards and six TDs for a 128.5 yards-per-game average and Legette has 32 receptions for 606 yards and three TDs for a 121.2 yards-per-game average. Joining the SEC wide receivers in the top four is Washington WR Rome Odunze, who has 32 receptions for 608 yards and four TDs for a 121.6 yards-per-game average.

3 TD passes and one TD run for South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler against Florida while playing for Oklahoma. In the Sooners’ 55-20 victory over the Gators in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 30, 2020, Rattler completed 14-of-23 passes for 247 yards with three TDs and no interceptions and ran for 40 yards and one TD on seven carries for Oklahoma. Last season in South Carolina’s 38-6 loss to Florida, Rattler completed 18-of-26 passes for 145 yards with no TDs and no interceptions and had minus-13 yards on six carries.

5 Victories for South Carolina and three for Florida when neither team is ranked for their meeting during the AP Poll era. Florida has a 22-2 record when ranked against South Carolina.

6 Consecutive games with at least a 70 percent completion rate for Florida QB Graham Mertz. He’s the only Gators player to accomplish that feat. Mertz has completed 140-of-175 passes for 1,474 yards with nine TDs and two interceptions in 2023. His completion rate of 80.0 percent is the second-best in the nation.

27 Points per game have been averaged by Florida and South Carolina this season. The Gators have outscored their opponents 163-101 in six games in 2023. The Gamecocks have been outscored 147-135 in five games this season.

30 Victories for Florida and 10 victories for South Carolina with three ties in the Gators-Gamecocks series.

38 Points has been the winning total for Florida in each of the Gators’ past three victories over South Carolina. Florida defeated the Gamecocks 38-27 in 2019, 38-24 in 2020 and 38-6 in 2022. South Carolina defeated the Gators 40-17 in 2021.

86 Victories and 49 losses for Steve Spurrier at South Carolina from 2005 through 2015. Spurrier has more victories than any other coach in the Gamecocks’ history. Spurrier also has the most victories among Florida coaches, going 122-27-1 with the Gators from 1990 through 2001.

161 Yards and one TD on 24 carries for Florida RB Montrell Johnson Jr. in a 38-6 victory over South Carolina last season. That’s Johnson’s career high. Last week, Johnson had his second-most productive game at Florida with 135 yards and one TD on 18 carries in a 38-14 victory over Vanderbilt. Johnson leads the Gators in rushing yards with 388 and four TDs on 74 carries in 2023.

442 Games have been played by Florida since it was most recently shut out, the longest scoring streak in major-college football history by 54 games. The Gators haven’t been blanked since losing to Auburn 16-0 on Oct. 29, 1988.
