A Florida man is under arrest after authorities say he got on an Alabama school bus impersonating himself as a student to be with a 15-year-old girl.

Police on Wednesday were dispatched at 3 p.m. Wednesday to Enterprise High School after a teacher discovered the 23-year-old Pompano man on the bus.

Dennis Wimberly was immediately taken into custody on a charge of criminal trespassing on a school bus.

As the investigation continued, detectives learned that Wimberly had arranged to meet the teen student on the bus. She assisted in getting him on the bus, police said.

The investigation showed that Wimberly and the girl had a previous sexual encounter and had transmitted obscene material via their cell phones.

Wimberly is also charged with second-degree rape and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Coffee County Jail where he remained held without bond Thursday.
