Florence police have arrested a man investigators say sent obscene videos and images to a juvenile over seven months’ time.

Sgt. Cliff Billingsley said Thomas Eugene Armstead, 35, sent the images from July 2022 to this February through Snapchat.

According to investigators, on Nov. 22, 2022, Armstead requested a photo from a juvenile asking for a nude image, knowing that the person he was contacting was a juvenile.

Armstead has been charged with solicitation of pornography with a minor, and 14 counts of transmitting obscene material to a child.

He is currently being held on a $750,000 bond.
