Florence police say a man has been charged with rape in a case involving a juvenile victim.

According to police, Daprecas Montrell Perkins, 27, of Florence, was arrested Tuesday on a first degree rape warrant.

According to court documents, Perkins engaged in forced sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old.

He is scheduled for an arrangement June 20.

Perkins is currently being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bail.
