Five from Huntsville: Local stories you might have missed last week
There were a lot of significant local stories last week in the Huntsville area. Here five things you might not have seen unless you read the Lede.
· In our Sunday Q&A (out today) Huntsville Director of Parking and Public Transportation Quisha Bryant talks about how moving around the growing city has to evolve.
· The Lede’s Scott Turner asked five question of State Sen. Sam Givhan as he gets ready for his second term. What he said was worth knowing.
· Madison County’s Mount Carmel Elementary School has been identified as one of the best in the country.
· Friday has become the regular day to get in on the Lede’s exclusive College Football Picks contest.
· Turner also reported on how Huntsville is now one of the safest places in the country, who gets the top salary from the city of Athens, and what residents had to say about their transit needs.
Ok, so there are seven things in the list this week.
There’s a lot more local news, not to mention state, national and world events worth reading about in the Lede every day of every week. And each edition has a page designed to tell you how to navigate The Lede. It even has a cool YouTube video.
We’re working to make the Lede better every day and we want your input. Suggestions? Constructive criticism? Stories you’d like to see? Questions about your community? Something for us to look into that will make your life better? Send me a note at [email protected].
