Fire weather watch in effect for Wednesday for Southeast Alabama

A fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

Residents can expect winds to be north around 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and humidity as low as 15 to 25 percent.

According to the weather service, “Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.”

This watch is in effect until Wednesday at 6 p.m.
