A fire at a Florence apartment complex killed a woman and displaced 200 residents, WHNT reports.

The fire broke out at Courtview Towers Apartments on Friday and is still under investigation.

Due to injuries she suffered in the fire, Eva Crittendon, 56, died on New Year’s Day at UAB Hospital , Florence Fire Chief Tim Anerton said, according to the TV station.
