Fire at Adger home leaves 66-year-old man dead
A 66-year-old man was killed in a fire at an Adger home.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, firefighters from Concord, Birmingport and Warrior were dispatched at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday to the residence in the 102000 block of Camp Oliver Road.
Two people had managed to escape but they reported that one person was still inside.
Once the blaze was extinguished, firefighters found the man inside. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 2:03 p.m.
His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
