Fighting for needed services and promoting our ‘living history:’ Q&A with Connie Hudson
Connie Hudson has served on the Mobile County Commission since 2010. One of the first women to serve on the commission, Hudson currently serves as the commission president. Previously, she served on the Mobile City Council for nine years, representing District 6.
In her time on the city council, she spearheaded the creation of a senior recreational center in west Mobile, which opened in 2007 and was named in her honor in 2013. On the commission, she has spearheaded many sports and recreation projects, including an ongoing project to build a 10-field soccer complex and aquatics center and the expansion of Escatawpa Hollow Park and Campground.
Here, she discusses some of the ongoing issues facing Mobile County, sustaining Mobile’s industrial growth and what she loves about Mobile.
