Fiery military helicopter crash that killed 2 on Alabama highway caught on videos
A military helicopter that crashed and killed two people Wednesday afternoon landed on a busy north Alabama highway.
The fiery wreckage was witnessed by many driving on Alabama 53 near the intersection of Burrell Road in Madison County.
The aftermath of the crash was captured by many on social media and shared by north Alabama television stations.
The helicopter, a Black Hawk, belonged to the Tennessee National Guard and was reportedly on a routine training mission.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of two Tennessee National Guardsmen, and our prayers are with their families during this heartbreaking tragedy,” Brigadier Gen. Warner Ross, Tennessee’s Adjutant General, said in a statement. “We ask Tennesseans to join us in supporting their families during this time of unthinkable grief.”
