Fiery crash in Center Point sends 1 to hospital in critical condition
One person was critically injured in an overnight fiery crash in Center Point.
Center Point firefighters responded at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday to a wreck involving a passenger truck and a regional area delivery tractor trailer, said Fire Chief Brandon Dahlen.
The crash happened on Highway 79 near the intersection of Goodrich Drive.
Dahlen said firefighters arrived to find both vehicles on fire.
Two people were treated at the scene, with one of them rushed to UAB Hospital in critical condition.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Department of Transportation also responded.
