Fewer sales, rising prices: a look back at Baldwin County real estate in 2023
Despite home sales decreasing in Baldwin County in 2023 due to higher interest rates and inflation, home values still increased last year, providing some relief to the county’s homeowners.
In 2023, the total sales volume in the county was around $3.4 billion, a 13.5% decrease from 2022, according to data from Baldwin Realtors, the real estate association in the county. Last year 6,868 properties were sold in the county, down from 8,312 in 2022. The average number of days on the market increased to 59 in 2023, almost double the 2022 average (33), another sign that sales slowed.
